I like this book a lot, except that Anita is very over sexual in this book, it seems like she’s having sex with everyone. Sure there are reasons but still.
This is a book that I WANT to read really bad. I know people that have read this book and my organization is supposedly in it..

I have seen the list however and one stuck out at me, beautifully different. When I was in high school I was the one that tried to be different, shopped at Hot Topic, hippie stores, and just generally tried to not be the slutty, party girls that filled my grade. Looking back I am wondering if my undefined beauty was just being a nonconformist’s conforming. I mean first off it seemed like when I was trying to be the arty Goth girl, a style and genre of everything from music to writing that I’ve always found very beautiful– the Emo genera was forming. Let me say that the whole emo thing REALLY pisses me off. As a former cutter its not cool. Anyways, I was always in a state of creating, recreating/being overly critical of myself that it wasn’t until I stepped back and let loose that I never know me. For example, when I was in college I set aside the Goth girl look and kept my morbid side of my life strictly under wraps. As I did with my religion and sexuality. (My religion I hid for about two weeks.) I joined a sorority which was one of the best moves and best memories of my life. I let loose, drank and had fun. And with in Greek life and social fraternities and sororities there was HBT heta beta tau. Again a nonconformist group of unique individuals who where yet trying to conform with nationally recognized organizations such as Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Delta Zeta, Zeta Tau Alpha, Sigma Tau Gamma, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Phi Mu Delta, etc. And these listed where just social– not academic. We all strove for excellence and wore our letters proudly. HBT advertised as being a group of individuals… if you’re an individual doesn’t that mean there is no grouping for you? This group of non conforming misfits conformed to a greater life style… Greek life. Its the same with all nonconformist. They are conforming to something, even if its not that area’s social norm it could be a norm some where else.
We all fit in some where in this crazy little thing called life. We are all cookies in the jar so to speak, just some are bland and others have a little more pizazz. What makes me beautiful is my heart, what makes me different is my ability and want to use it.
